2 Ingredient Ice Cream

Who DOESN'T love ice cream?
This late into my pregnancy, I have finally developed a sweet tooth! I have been craving Ben and Jerry's Bluebell, Cold Stone, Marble Slab-every type of ice cream that you can imagine. However, to be only 5 weeks away from giving birth, I feel I have come to far to give in now.

So I decided to make a healthier alternative that I have heard about. This "ice cream" is so yummy, guilt free, and uses only two ingredients. For real!

Starting off, you need 3-4 ripe bananas.
Slice them.
Place on a cookie sheet.
Freeze for 2 to 3 hours.

Place the frozen slices into a food processor.
Blend till smooth.

Add 1 to 2 tbsp of organic peanut butter.
Blend in your food processor on high until the consistency is creamy.

ENJOY!

Update

Coming up on 35 weeks of pregnancy. Feeling great, still workout out and staying active. Feeling happy! My husband and I are sooo ready to meet our love bug.

I've been having a few discomforts such as lower back pain and some stiff muscles. My insomnia has improved. Yay! Other than that, I'm so blessed to have such a healthy and fit pregnancy.

Glyder Apparel Aloha Bra Review + 25% OFF Promo Code!

Hi ladies! I hope you all had a WONDERFUL Christmas holiday! I know we did :)
I was so eager to get back into the gym today to make up for the yumminess that I experienced yesterday. I broke out my new Aloha bra by Glyder Apparel and had tons upon TONS of compliments so I am here to officially review this awesome sports bra.

But first-a little about the Glyder Apparel! Their headquarters is stationed in Organge County & San Diego, California. I absolutely love their work-sweat-play mantra. Upon visiting their site, you will notice that the brand favors the Yoga community. If you know me, I LOVE YOGA! Especially during pregnancy. Their long line of yoga wear ranges from leggings to sports bras, to jackets and even to headbands! I personally dig their space dye patterns and I am looking forward to purchasing the Mantra Crop leggings next. Their customer service was so friendly and assisted me in every way; the shipping was FAST!

Ok ok ok, now on to the Aloha bra!
This bra is just CUTE. The middle part is my favorite :) I think it definitely adds some level of sexiness to the outfit! However, the cutouts in the bust area are actually for ventilation and allowing the "girls" to breathe. The last thing we want during workouts are sweaty, icky boobs. The bra is also moisture wicked and keeps you dry and cool! So since we established how cute this bra is and its features, let's put it to the test!

I did a couple of workouts using my a 25lb Kettlebell. I was surprised at how well the bra stayed put. I was a little worried at first because I am pregnant and my bust was big anyways so I was not sure how well it would hold since there is no wiring. But it did the job and did it WELL! The fact is does not have wiring makes it that much more comfy.

I decided to do a Kettlebell Squat Sequence and sure enough, the bra stayed put. When I squatted, nothing popped out! Ha.

I also completed about 30 minutes of running in this bra and just as with the other exercises, everything stayed put and I was very comfortable.

My verdict? This bra is good to go! Thumbs up!!

NOW! A big gift for you ladies! Glyder Apparel is so sweet to offer my readers aka YOU! a 25% OFF promo code at checkout when you complete your first order.

Here is the code:
FITMOMMY

Now go shopping and enjoy!!!

New Year's Hopes, Not Resolutions

Res-o-lu-tion
Noun
The action of solving a problem, dispute, or contentious matter

Ever really think about this term and what it means?
Each year, again and again, we make these promises to fix something in our lives and dub them "New Year's Resolutions".

But what if we are happy with how things are and just have some hopes or wishes? Nothing that exactly needs fixing, per say.

I have decided to rename and call them New Year's Hopes, instead.

The top resolutions that people in the US make are:
  • to lose weight/eat better/to workout
  • to make more money/save more money/get a better job
  • quit smoking/quit drinking/quit some bad habit
Any of these sound familiar?

Studies show most people do not hold true to their empty promises that they make every January.

So what are my hopes for 2014?
  • Give birth to a healthy baby boy.
  • Love my husband even more each and everyday.
  • Become a great parents.
  • Inspire other women.

While it is certainly great to have a specific hope, why not focus on yourself as a whole unit, and not just your weaknesses. Use your strengths to overcome and work your way through them. Don't look at yourself as a project that needs some fixing or changing. You are the way you are for a reason-you are you. Yes, you and your bad habits. Don't put unneeded pressure on yourself to accomplish what you say you will each year.

Let it flow. It will happen.

If you want change, you must first have hope.

Love what you have. Love who you are. Be gracious. Take time. Love. Hope.

The rest will come, naturally.

Almost 35 Weeks!!!

Coming up on 35 weeks! Our new OB doctor said it is possible that I could actually be 36 weeks instead. I guess we will see!

I am so happy to still be lifting. It has taken away my lower back & sciatic pain-I have never felt better. Some days I have little to no energy but I get myself up out of bed and keep going!

The REAL work begins after birth
:)
