Rumpkinz Cloth Diapers + Customized Keychain Review

Hi ladies! For today's diaper review, I am reviewing a really sweet brand called Rumpkinz. This brand is carefully made with a mother's love. No, really!

Owner & founder Jeanette Ewers created Rumpkinz after her son was born as a way to make an income while staying home to care for him. She started off small by homemaking hemp inserts for cloth diapers and then her friends actually encouraged her to use her skills to expand the line!

Here is what Jeanette had to say:

"So I went to town and learned diaper sewing from an old lady. She was the best sewing teacher as I had no background in sewing. It was a slow start, but business picked up after a few months. We upgraded our sewing machines, serger and embroidery machines to keep up with the demand. I started using snap pliers, then upgraded to snap press, then a year ago, we were able to purchase a snap machine (auto loading) and that became my new best friend! Snapping is a breeze!

Right now, I've sold over 3,000 diapers and still counting! It is a blessing to be staying at home with the kids and earning a little income. My husband is helping me a lot too, he is in charge of digitizing the designs and embroidery as well. It has been a wonderful success."

It truly inspires me to see a stay-at-home mommy become a self made entrepreneur. It reminds us that anyone of us can create something wonderful, we just have to believe!"

OK! Now onto the diapers!

I had the chance to review the Marvel Comics diaper-which is absolutely ADORABLE and the only one of its kind that I have found. My husband and I fell in love with it right away. The inside is lined with a velvety soft red organic bamboo cloth with a snap in insert. No leaks with this diaper at all!

The second diaper that I had the chance to review was this adorable white organic bamboo fittted diaper. This diaper also features snap in inserts and I have had zero leaks! The ruffles on the side is cute no matter if you have a boy or girl-it is certainly fancy! I love it.

Now onto the keychain! I was so excited to receive my personally engraved keychain just in time for Father's Day. Jeanette can engrave anything you want on it-all you have to do is ask :)

Oh and that's not all. I also had the chance to use Rumpkinz organic bamboo cloth wipes! I make my own solution and these went with it perfectly. They are velvety to touch, just like everything that Rumpkinz makes!

Coconut Water Fruit Pops

While looking for a healthy treat to keep me cool during the hot sunny days of summer, I stumbled across this delicious recipe from Beach Bites that pairs coconut water with fresh fruit to make popsicles! And the best part of all-no sugar added!

photo 2

Coconut Water Fruit Pops
Ingredients
  • 1 liter bottle of Zico Coconut Water
  • 2-3 kiwi fruit, peeled & sliced
  • ~1/2 cup of fresh blueberries
  • ~1/2 cup of fresh strawberries, sliced
  • 2 popsicle mold sets (for a total of 8 popsicles)
Directions
  1. Slice strawberries and kiwi fruit.
  2. Fill popsicle mold halfway with coconut water.
  3. Drop kiwi, strawberries and blueberries into mold.  You can either insert the tops into the mold right away or wait about 20 minutes for the liquid to begin freezing.  I waited 15 minutes, but honestly I’m not sure if it makes a difference.
  4. Freeze for at least 3 hours before serving.  I personally recommend letting them freeze overnight for the best result.
  5. Pour slightly warm water over the mold to help them thaw before pulling the popsicle out.  Otherwise you might end up separating the popsicle stick with a popsicle stuck in the mold!

Wanna See Something Truly Inspirational?

barbie-thomas_0
They say a picture is worth a thousand words. Would you believe it if I were to tell you that this 37 year old woman is a professional bodybuilder?
Her name is Barbie Thomas and she has been competing in bodybuilding competitions since 2003. Barbie is like any other woman-she dances, texts, drives, and even plays soccer. She gave birth to two sons and even used a pillow as a prop to be able to breastfeed them.

Though she lost her arms due to an electrical accident at the tender age of two, which doctors didn’t expect her to live, she has refused to make her “disability” her excuse. This definitely makes me want to put a sock in it when my alarm hits 5:30 a.m. and I complain that I feel too tired to go running.

Barbie states that she lifts weights 5 days a week and does cardio work every single day.
In her own words, Barbies says, “I’d say to anyone, you can do whatever you put your mind to. The only limitations are the ones you put on yourself. Everyone has limitations and handicaps in some way or another – mine are more visible than yours maybe.’
So inspiring!

ToeSox Review

Hi fellow yogis!

Today I am reviewing a company called ToeSox. They make a large variety of socks, as you can imagine from the name, as well as sandals and gloves! Their vision is to inspire natural movement for healthy living. You can read about ToeSox's story here!

I had the chance to review the full toe Bella ToeSox and the half toe Bella ToeSox. Both of these socks features:

  • Non-slip grip to keep your feet in place,
  • 5 toe designs
  • Arch support bands to gently lift & support the feet
  • Fitted heels to keep the sock in place on your feet
  • Organic Cotton
They are the perfect alternative to bare feet, but are perfect for all barefoot activities such as yoga, pilates, and dance. They are slip resistant as well so you won't have to worry about falling down. The full toe Bella features covered toes which is perfect for fall and winter and the half toe is as it says-halfway covered and is perfect for spring and summertime!

I enjoyed testing these socks thoroughly because I had been looking for something like this during my yoga routines. I enjoy being barefoot, but sometimes yoga studios' floors can be really nasty so these are certainly my official yoga class socks! Also, they are pretty affordable, around  $16 a pair. They also come in a variety of fun colors to choose from! They are certainly any yogi's best friend! I highly recommend!
