This photo of my before and after abs has been floating around the internet for some time. The number one question I get in my inbox is referring to this one photo. My readers ask, "HOW?"
Here's how, and it is really quite simple.
CLEAN EATING.
"What??? No crunches, situps, or ab exercises?" You ask?
No, not really. I hate ab exercises! In the photo on the left I was around 140lbs. I carry my weight in my thighs and derriere luckily, not much sticks to my tummy which makes things easier. If you are a woman who carries weight in her tummy versus thighs/butt region, I would say yes to ab exercises.
I started eating clean and it not only changed my abs but m WHOLE BODY. You probably know the story by now. I dropped 45lbs in 9 months without stepping foot inside a gym because I chose to give up fast food & restaurants and make my own food and shop organic. Changing the way I ate, decreasing my fat, sugar, and carb intake, decreased my body fat percentage all over, but mainly in my abs. Ever heard the term, "Abs are made in the kitchen?" Well, I can attest to that! I had abs all the way up to my 18th week of pregnancy. Even today at 21 weeks pregnant, I still have some ab definition.
I am a nurse so I walk around for 8 hours a day and that activity I got helped me burn calories throughout the day. Although, I didnt go to the gym then, I definitely do now!
Mixing clean eating with cardio is the best way to get 6 pack abs.
Sure, do some crunches if you want too, it does not hurt. 6 pack abs do not happen over night. It takes time and willpower.
How can you change your diet today?
I have written a eBook on Amazon.com with a sample of my daily diet plan plus a few of my favorite recipes, though I love to share recipes frequently on my site :)

ReplyDeleteFor getting abs, do you need to lift weights, or is clean eating and cardio enough? And if you do need to lift weights, how do I?
