If I had a nickel for every time I was asked, "Hey, are your boobs real?" I would probably be a millionaire. What gave it away? The perfect roundness or the fact that I am Asian and, let's face it, most Asian girls do not have a huge rack?
I made the decision to get a breast augmentation back in October of 2011. I was 23 years old and I had always been curious about them. So I did. One of the main reasons why I chose to have this surgery was due to the fact that I lost a ton of breast tissue after my 45 lb. weight loss. I literally had nothing and I did not feel very feminine at all. My ex-husband had pressured me to get them, and so I figured, why not?
I called the very best plastic surgery center around and made my consultation. It was a very awkward thing, but I looked forward to it. At the consultation, I had the chance to speak with the doctor about which size we should go with, how the surgery would go, and making the choice between the two most popular options: saline or silicone gel. This center had a 3D screen that took the pictures of your upper body and enhanced them the way that the implants would look post operation. When I saw the digital image that was created, I was super excited.
I decided to go with the size 400cc silicone gel implants via an axillary incision.. This would take me from a large A to about a D. I was definitely happy with the size and look. We took my before pics and I left the office. I came back for a pre-op appointment in which we scheduled my surgery and went over all of the details and pre-operation instructions. I was given my prescriptions for the surgery to take and get filled at the pharmacy as well. One week later, surgery day was here!
My surgery was at 7am and I arrived at the clinic around 6:30am. They took me back and I sat on the hospital bed as they took my blood pressure and started the IV. The medication kicked in and I started feeling super loopy-in a good way. I remember being rolled back and placed on the table. I looked up and saw great big circular lights-and that was it. I woke up and surgery was over. It was a complete success!
Post op healing was a bitch. It was hard to get out of bed by myself and I could not wear a regular shirt for a month or two. The pain literally lasted for a full 30 days, but then I woke up one day and it was so nice to feel normal again. It took about 6 months or so for my breasts to look somewhat natural. For those few months, they were huge and too round-and way too high! I also had no cleavage which scared me, but apparently this was normal.
Sometimes I regret them for that very reason. You should never ever have any type of surgery for a man. It is HIS problem is he does not think you are perfect the way you are. If I could go back and tell myself this, I probably would not have gotten the surgery. My current husband told me that he loved me the way I was before, but he does not mind the enhancements at all. And if you are boob job hater, well this open letter I wrote for The Daily Hiit is just for you!
Nowadays, I love the look of my implants and I do not regret them anymore, though I had gotten them for the wrong reasons. It took them a while to settle down a bit. They were pretty big at the beginning, but pregnancy and motherhood has actually softened them and made them look even more natural. I breastfeed daily and have no issues at all

If you are wanting to go through this a surgery like this, my only advice is this:
Do it for you. Not some fucking guy. Not because anyone else tells you to. Just for YOU.
