The BEST Thanksgiving Turkey

Thanksgiving will be here before you know it! Do you have your turkey recipe in mind?

Here's a great one to try this year that is sure to please your whole family!

Ingredients

1 Whole Turkey (15lbs.)
1/2 cup unsalted butter, softened at room temp
2 quarts chicken broth
1 large onion, diced
2 stalks of celery, chopped
3 large carrots, chopped
2 tbsp dried parsley
2 tbsp dried thyme
2 tbsp dried sage
kosher salt (to taste)
cracked black pepper (to taste)

Directions

Preheat oven to 350 degrees.
Remove the turkey neck and giblets.
Rinse the turket and then pat dry with a paper towel. Place in your roasting pan to prepare.
Mix herbs into the butter, stirring well.
Start rubbing the skin with the butter/herb mixture.
Salt/Pepper the turkey, as needed or to your desired liking.
Pour 2 cups of chicken broth into the pan.
Place aluminum foil over the turkey & pan, then place inside the oven to bake for 3.5-4 hours or until a meat thermometer inserted into the thigh reads at least 180 degrees. Also-keep basting every so often with the pan juice to keep the turkey moist and delicious!
Remove and set aside until ready to carve!
