What's In a Name?

"Whats in a name? That which we call a rose by any other name would smell as sweet?"
~William Shakespeare

Well, our Mini Cooper finally has a name! It took us a minute or two, but after much consideration, we decided on the best name for our son. We wanted him to have not only a meaningful name, but a strong name.

And that name is....

As in....

Greyson Knox Cooper

We chose the name for many reasons.

We loved Greyson because of its meaning.
Greyson means "son of the gray haired one."
Grady, my husband, has one unique birth mark-a small patch of gray hair above his right ear.
We thought it was pretty fitting!
We next decided on whether we wanted the American spelling (Grayson) or the British spelling (Greyson).
We chose the British route because our surname, Cooper, is British.

We chose Knox because my husband is essentially from Knoxville, Tennessee.
We want our son to know that no matter where we may move (since we are active duty military), his home is in Knoxville, TN-where our family lives.

We are very happy with our decision in naming Mini Cooper, and we hope he will love his name, too! His nickname will be Grey :)
