Diary of a Fit Mommy's Peanut Butter Cup Smoothie {200 calories}

So I recently got a Ninja Ultima to review once our son is born because smoothies and juicing are going to be a main staple in my postpartum plan once I give birth. My husband and I decided to preview it a bit this morning by making a delicious smoothie that we had recently tried from Tropical Smoothie called the Peanut Butter Cup. If you are fan of Tropical Smoothie, then you know that the Peanut Butter Cup is featured under the INDULGENT smoothie menu. Meaning so tasty yet so terrible for you lol. I watched how they made it and it was so simple that I decided to make a healthier version of it at home that we can enjoy-without the Diabetes!

By the way, the Ninja Ultima blender was freaking amazing and I cannot wait to write an official review on it in a month or two once I get into my postpartum routine! Stay tuned for that!

Ok, so here is how to make a healthier version of this luscious smoothie.

Diary of a Fit Mommy's Peanut Butter Cup Smoothie
(Serves one; 200 calories)

  • 1/2 ripe banana
  • 1 generous tbsp of natural peanut butter
  • 1/2 cup Almond Breeze coconut almond milk (my favorite milk ever)
  • 1 tbsp chocolate syrup (or cocoa powder if you wanna go even lighter)
  • 1 cup ice cubes
  • 1 Splenda or Stevia packet
  • 1 scoop protein powder (optional)
Throw it all in your blender and blend away. Sip, smile, and enjoy.
