DIY Cloth Baby Wipes + Easy Wipe Solution

Today marks around two weeks that I have been cloth diapering. So far, I absolutely am loving it! I cannot believe that most moms do not do cloth. Its so great for baby and for your wallet! Anywho, I have been using disposable wipes and was so appalled at how many I go through on a weekly basis. I figured, since I am doing cloth diapers, why not do cloth wipes as well?

I decided to make my own and test out my DIY skills. It went very well! I am super pleased.

Here is how to make your own.

What you will need for the wipes:

  • material of choice (i chose some extra terry cloths & an old receiving blanket)
  • wipe warmer or recycle an old disposable wipe plastic box
  • scissors
All you have to do is cut the cloths into squares large enough to wipe you baby's bum. That is it! Easy.

Now with the solution. I have researched many different homemade wipe solutions and this is the best one that I have come across.

What you will need for the solution:

  • 2 cups of water
  • 2 tbsp coconut oil
  • 2 tbsp baby wash
  • essential oils (optional-i chose not to use any)
Put wipes in warmer after dipped in your solution and voila! Done!
