I love soup.
After all, low-calorie soups helped me to achieve my 45 lb. journey weight loss back in 2010 and maintain that weight loss ever since.
BUT.. there is one soup in particular that I cannot get enough of: Progresso™ Light!
I am no stranger to beating diet boredom with Progresso™ soups. With 40 delicious flavors, containing 100 calories or less per serving, it is difficult to get bored with their grand selection.
These soups have become a part of my New Year's resolution to maintain my healthy weight.
Here are my tips & tricks to sticking to your New Year's resolutions and making 2015 a year filled with success:
Here are my tips & tricks to sticking to your New Year's resolutions and making 2015 a year filled with success:
- Always pack a snack. No matter where you go, it is always a great idea to pack a healthy snack.
- Write your goals down. I am a visual person, meaning I have to see it to believe it. I always write everything down in my handy dandy planner-appointments, important dates, my goals, and my meals. This might sound a bit silly, but when you are super busy, sometimes it is easy to forget to have a snack. Write down your goals and post that list up near your work desk or on your night stand.
- Visualize your goals. Ever heard the phrase, "Out of sight, out of mind?" In addition to writing things down, you can use other visual reminders to help keep them fresh in your mind, such as sitting out that can of Progresso™ Light soup on your kitchen counter or hanging that brand-new bikini on your wall. This will help you to literally "keep your eye on the prize."
- Involve your family. Family and friends play a huge role in motivating you to reach your goals. Studies have shown that with the right support, you are more likely to acheive your weight loss ot fitness goals. Make Progresso™ Light a part of your family's dinner and involve the kids as well! It is never too late to teach healthy habits to your family.
- Have fun and reward yourself. It is true that most people tend to fall off of the resolution "bandwagon" due to boredom or unmotivated feelings, but getting healthy does not mean that you cannot have any fun! Reward yourself with a small treat after reaching each subgoal along the way. For every 10 lbs that I had lost, I would buy a new pair of jeans or a new t-shirt in a smaller size.
No matter what tips and tricks may help you succeed, having a can of Progresso™ Light soup around is never a bad idea.
