Homemade Vitamin Water


For the longest time, Vitamin Water was a favorite of mine. I would spend the usual $1.50 or so on the bottle and feel great knowing I was drinking away at all of the vitamins. Boy, was I wrong! It was a harsh reality once I realized that Vitamin Water's labeling was very misleading. Not to mention, it was chocked full of SUGAR-33 grams to be exact! Not the kinda drink you wanna suck down on a daily basis-especially if you are wanting to lose or maintain your weight.

So here is a simpler and better alternative.
 You can use this as a detox or just a drink to enjoy on a hot summer day.

Take any fruit you want.
Place it at the bottom of a large jar.
Mash the fruit to a pulp.
Pour in distilled water.
Chill for 4-6 hours.
Drink away!!!!

  1. How many of these do you make at a time and do you strain the fruit before you drink it? I'm a lime/mint fan but find the lime rinds make it bitter if I leave them in there for more than just a couple hours.
